Perspective is everything. I remember being a little girl and picking each flower I saw. I wouldn’t take any from the garden, but I would pick the wild ones. I would pluck them and give them to my mom or grandma. My mother would always put them in a little vase and keep them on the window sill. My grandma would tell me that they were weeds and I shouldn’t pick them. As a child, I didn’t think that a beautiful flower could be bad. Why wouldn’t you want a little flower to keep on your counter? It hadn’t even crossed my mind that someone wouldn’t want them.
To this day, if I see a flower I never think of it as a weed. I leave the wildflowers be now, but I am able to see and admire the beauty that surrounds me.
It is so interesting how we can all see things from such different views. I saw a beautiful flower while my grandma saw a weed. This is something that I have found in each aspect of life. I may find beauty in my mess of a life, but others might not. Beauty is different to everyone, but that doesn’t make it any less beautiful.
Life can be crazy and it can seem really ugly at times, but that is often when the biggest blessings are happening. I have had my fair share of ugly times in life, but I have also had so much life, love, and happiness.
Speaking of perspective, I took a little break from my blogging for a few months. I felt the need to take a step back and really focus on being truly present in my own life. I found myself becoming less focused on my own life and more focused on social media. I went on a purge and stopped reading other blogs, stopped watching youtube videos, and unfollowed anyone that didn’t uplift my thoughts and spirit.
I am back though and super excited! There are some big changes coming and I can’t wait to share them with you!!
